What Is West Coast Swing?
West Coast Swing is a partner dance with a distinctive elastic, slotted style. Unlike many partner dances, it's completely music-agnostic — it works with blues, pop, country, hip-hop, R&B, and pretty much anything with a beat.
It's a social dance, which means the steps are improvised in conversation with your partner rather than choreographed. That's what makes it endlessly fun to learn: every dance is different.
